La Plagne News: Finlay Ski ceases to trade
Finlay Skiing Holidays have unfortunately ceased trading after many years of offering good value chalet holidays in La Plagne (Les Coches), Courchevel and Val d’Isere. We understand that they ceased trading on 16 April and the CAA arranged repatriation of those skiers who were still on holiday with Finlays. La Plagne News: 17/18 April travel
We have heard all sorts of stories about people getting home from their ski holidays in La Plagne. We all know that flights into the UK were cancelled; but Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble and Chambery were also closed although not for so long as Gatwick. With Eurostar fully booked and the ferries and tunnel running at capacity one of the best option was to stay in La Plagne and enjoy the fresh snow. Read more

Chalets in La Plagne cut – For winter 2009/10 many of the larger ski chalet operators have cut the number of catered ski chalets on offer in la Plagne and across the Alps. This is likely to lead to a shortage of good ski holidays available particularly on peak dates. With the current economic climate make sure that you book your ski holiday with a fully bonded ski holiday company – do not simply rely on using your credit card.
